Kate, a recent and enthusiastic new citizen of Bristol, warmly introduces herself to her fellow Bristolians through her inaugural exhibition, "WHO ISKATE?". This eclectic collection showcases her diverse photographic techniques and print works, reflecting her belief that creativity knows no boundaries. From photographs taken with various cameras to innovative no-camera photo works, and prints on clothes and canvases, Kate's art embraces simplicity and accessibility. She passionately believes that art is for everyone and invites you to attend her exhibition to uncover new horizons and discover the art that lies within us all. Join Kate in celebrating the beauty of everyday creativity and the art that surrounds us.

Artist BIO: 

Kate aka Def0cused, a photographer, videographer, designer and drum and bass / electronic music VJ hailing from Tallinn, Estonia.
Originally drawn to the vibrant streets of London, she spent an enriching nine years immersed in the dynamic cultural scene of the city. During this time, London served as a melting pot of inspiration, influencing her unique approach to photography, videography and design.

Her work reflects a diverse range of subjects, from urban landscapes to intimate human stories, all encapsulated through the lens of her numerous cameras and other devices.
As a VJ (Visual Jockey), she has brought her artistic vision to the underground music scene, creating immersive visual experiences that synchronise with music and atmosphere. Her work transcends conventional boundaries, adding a captivating visual layer to the auditory realm.

Now based in the eclectic city of Bristol, she continues to push creative boundaries, combining her Estonian roots with the rich experiences gained in London & new life in Bristol.

Unleash your creativity and elevate it to the next level using simple geometric objects and your imagination. Engage in fun, simple exercises with fellow participants, explore commonalities, and share your creations on a communal board. This workshop aims to help you rediscover the playful, creative spirit within you. Free (materials provided).
